Fun Fact! The 1967 $1 banknotes are the only banknotes produced by the Bank of Canada without serials which entered circulation. Initially these notes were a special commemorative issue that was distributed by the Bank of Canada however they entered circulation. A green tint was used for this issue following its predecessors design from the 1954 series $1 notes. The front also features the Centennial symbol. A lovely vignette on the back displays the old parliament buildings from an angle.
A popular gift idea which can make a neat display and a fantastic piece of history for collectors and enthusiasts to treasure.
