The 1973 $1 banknotes are one of the most iconic Canadian banknote issues. The 1973 series is the last time the Bank of Canada produced the $1 denomination for banknotes. Featuring Queen Elizabeth II and the Coat of Arms of Canada on the face design with a green multicoloured tint. Parliament Hill is displayed on the back design with a lovely vignette from across the Ottawa river.
This issue also varies with Lawson-Bouey signatures with 2 and 3 Digit letter prefixes.
